I’m so excited to share with all you fellow parents a fun, interactive learning & play space for kids in Rockville, MD.
The kids and I were invited for an early exploration of Badlands play space. Badlands is a nature inspired play space where they bring the outdoors inside. It’s a place to learn through play with seven creative areas to interact, create and grow. They offer classes where children can develop their minds in music, movement and play. And you can even celebrate your childrens special day in one of four perfectly designed party rooms. The party space is bright and spacious with a long table to fit all your party guests.
It is targeted for 2-13 year olds. I went with a 7, 11 and 12 year and they all had a blast. While I walked around and toured this beautifully curated playspace, I saw my 7 year old nephew climbing the rocks and then going down the slide, my 12 year old stepson in the workshop using his creativity to mold figures with clay and my 11 year old step daughter running into the butterfly greenhouse to be in nature (her favorite place). From classes in the workshop, screening room (to take a break from climbing), exhibits to rope climbing course, there is so much to do with your children. What’s great is parents can also just sit and eat gourmet food and have a drink while their children run and play – this is the best of both worlds!
Children need a place to just be kids, a place to run, be creative and free! So hurry, and come check out the largest nature inspired play space in the mid Atlantic that your kids are sure to love! They open their doors tomorrow!
Badlands will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. General admission is $22.50 per child 3 and older and $12.50 for toddlers. Reduced pricing is available for groups. Monthly membership programs are also available.
Such a cool concept for kids of all ages. Hope you guys get the opportunity to visit soon!
