Valentine’s Mini Pizza with My Mini

Valentines Day pizza with your children is a fun activity to do. I love making memories with my little one and a little mess doesn’t scare me.

There is nothing better than homemade pizza! Chloe is a fan just like her mama. And I had heart shaped cookie cutters so decided to make these mini heart shaped pizzas. She loved the idea too! We washed our hands and rolled up our sleeves to start rolling some dough!

You can make your own or skip that step and buy dough from Trader Joe’s like I did. One pack is enough for 4 mini heart shaped pizzas. After a long search for my rolling pin, I gave up and found a round cylinder to use. It worked but make sure to have one as it will help to roll out the dough enough to make it thin and get 4 pizzas. You need a little flour for the surface and the dough. Chloe had a blast getting her hands in that. Flour was flying all over the place! And the OCD in me got uncomfortable, but then I let it go. You gotta have fun and get messy to make memories with your little ones, right?!

Once we rolled it as much as we could we used a 4 inch cookie cutter to cut out the 4 heart shaped dough. If you can find 1 inch heart shaped cookie cutter for the pepperoni. Otherwise, you can use the smallest you can find and bend it to make it fit in the pepperoni. That’s what I did. I piled 5 together and cut out the shape using a knife to cut off excess. I was able to fit about three onto the mini pizzas.

I bought mozzarella, pepperoni, marinara and the dough all from Trader Joe’s.

Now we were ready to top the pizza with the marinara, mozzarella, and heart shaped pepperonis. Chloe enjoyed this part too! So don’t expect Pinterest perfect! Let them have fun building their pizza.

Now we are ready to bake! They went in the oven for 6-8 minutes! I love that. You know how impatient toddlers can be.

The best part was eating them! They were so delicious guys! And Chloe’s excitement as I pulled out the heart shaped pizzas she help make was priceless. And that’s what it’s all about- making memories.
