Family Bonding Time and Giveaway for Tickets to Finding Neverland

For many of us, family time may look like all the kids on their phones zoned out. I know for us as the kids get older it’s hard to grab their attention and get them off their phones. Cell phones are an amazing technology but just like with anything good, too much can be a problem.

Overusing cellphones and technology can pull as apart and affect our relationships. If we are constantly on our phones during time we can be bonding with our partners or children it can actually harm your relationship. I think it’s important especially for our children, to set boundaries when it comes to cell phone usage. For example, in our home we do not use cell phones during dinner time. That is a special time for family bonding. You can also put a limit to how much time you and your children are on the phone daily. They have apps now that monitor that for you. You can also set a time in the evening when phones should be off. I like to unwind in the evening and catch up with my husband without cell phones in our hands.

Our time is precious and we should be vigilant on how we spend it. It’s important to bond with your children because we all know how valuable time is.

Some things we like to do to help children disconnect is plan outdoor activity or if it’s cold out plan and event to take them to. This month we are planning a fun family evening to watch Finding Neverland at The National Theatre.

We are excited to disconnect for a few hours and bring art and culture into their lives!

I’m happy to share that I have partnered with The National Theatre again to giveaway 4 tickets for you and your family to see Finding Neverland

Finding Neverland is Directed by visionary Tony®-winner Diane Paulus and based on the critically-acclaimed Academy Award® winning film, FINDING NEVERLAND tells the incredible story behind one of the world’s most beloved characters, Peter Pan. Playwright J.M. Barrie struggles to find inspiration until he meets four young brothers and their beautiful widowed mother. Spellbound by the boys’ enchanting make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play that will astound London theatergoers. With a little pixie dust and a lot of faith, Barrie takes a monumental leap, leaving his old world behind for Neverland, where nothing is impossible and the wonder of childhood lasts forever. The magic of Barrie’s classic tale springs spectacularly to life in this heartwarming theatrical event.

This play is running from Tuesday, Feb. 26 to Sunday, March 3 and is recommended for children age 7 and up. Run time: Approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes, including one intermission.
